WELCOME to our strange and fun life!!! We have dedicated this site to our photos!! Browse around and have fun looking at our life in pictures.

We are Texas transplants currently residing in Durango, CO and we love it. Our children, as you will see in the pics, are our dogs. The move brought us all together again!

We do still miss Texas but it is beautiful here and there is lots to do outside in all seasons! We enjoy all the outdoor activities that come with living up here but there is nothing like living in Texas. One day, we will be back home living on a lake where the fish are normal!

We update these pics all the time with new photos so be sure to bookmark this page and check back often or you can email us and we will put you on the update list.

If you would like to email one or both of us, please click below and we will get back with you...we would love to hear from you.

Silverton music Festival : We attended one day of the Silverton Jamboree....well more like one set. The rain moved in and didn't leave! But we had a good time while we were there at least. The Silverton Jamboree started in 2007 after the collapse of the Silverton Jubilee, which, for decades, was the only music festival held in Silverton. The Jamboree started as a joint effort by a handful of people who wanted to ensure that Silverton had a summer music festival and an opportunity for people to hear some good music and have a good time in beautiful, elevated setting. The funky music lineup marked a departure from the decidedly folk music festival that had previously existed, and with the high-energy music came the high-energy weekend that it has become. In its first year, the Jamboree was a one-day festival, and it has now grown into two days and three nights of fun. Each year has attracted more revelers, and bigger performers. We’re looking forward to the years to come…

The Austin Fine Arts Festival (http://www.austinfineartsfestival.org/index.html) was held this weekend at Republic Square Park and we had a blast. Beautiful art from all over!! We stopped on the way up there and on the way back to admire the bluebonnets on display and if you have never done this, we highly recommend it. Heather's Christmas Trip : Heather received a concert get-away weekend for her Christmas this year from us. So, Rhea & Heather took off on Friday and stayed with MeMe (Rhea's mom) and PaPa Wayne (Rhea's stepdad). We stayed until late Sat afternoon after Heather fed the cows & chickens and we visited with family down there. Saturday night we just hung out and Sunday got up early and had facials at the Elizabeth Arden Spa in Saks (Galleria Mall), went shopping at Grapevine Mills Mall, and that night went to see ColdPlay and Fiona Apple at the American Airlines Arena. This was Heather's first concert and she got to experience it with floor seats! She danced all night! Pagosa Springs Trip : On my last trip to see Jesse we went to Pagosa Springs, CO and had a blast...Jesse is not the "spa" or metro-sexual male but he enjoyed the hot mineral springs. They recommended that we get in the Lobster Pot first that was 114 degrees and then jump into the river which was 20 degrees to seal the minerals in our body. We didn't jump in the river but did get in the Lobster Pot and we have renamed it the Lobster BOIL...I was able to sit down for about 20 secs but Jesse was only able to get his legs 1/2 way in despite my prodding...he decided he wasn't going to get all the way in because it hurt his legs...we soaked in the other spring pools and only got to 108 degrees, which felt like a refrigerator after the Lobster BOIL. When we were headed back to our room Jesse noticed that the hair on his legs that was in the Lobster BOIL was gone...it had burned the hair right off!! The people at the resort said they have never seen that before. It didn't make him stop soaking in the other spring pools but we never made it back to the Lobster Boil. Below is a summary of what the springs are all about and if you would like to visit the website just Click here

For centuries, visitors to the Great Pagosa Hot Springs have touted the miraculous curative powers of these ancient waters. The first published testiment to the healing benefits was written in 1890 by Dr. J. L. Weaver, U.S. Army Surgeon, following his experiences with several chronically ill soldiers brought to the spring for research study. Verbal testimonies began with Native American visitors from centuries past and continues today as visitors from all over the globe journey to these 10,000 year old waters seeking healing, relaxation, and rejuvenation.

As you step into these mineral rich waters, the various minerals and elements in the water are absorbed through the pores in your skin. The healing process is enhanced when the pores are opened by increased water intake prior to entering the mineral pools.

4th of July in Silverton, CO : We have been told for months now that Silverton, CO (http://silvertonevents.com/4th/) has the 4th best fireworks show in the nation and that we just HAD to go up there for it! Unfortunately Jesse had to work :-( but Kat and I made the trip up there (her bfriend had to :-( work also) . I haven't seen the number 1, 2, or 3 best fireworks show in the nation but Silverton, CO was by far the best I had seen. You could hear the echos and rumbles go through the mountains and could feel it in your heart because it was so loud! I think I would recommend spending the night though because we did spend about an hour in a traffic jam trying to leave and then had to follow a bunch or idiots on the road back home...not much fun passing on a mountain road at night. There are lots of video of the fireworks because I wanted Jesse to get to feel like he was there! Enjoy!
